"State of the Union random thoughts"

Toto I have a feeling we are not in the United States of America any longer.
I try to keep politics out of my blog, “100 yrs too late” and that is the purpose of this blog.
I have helped on campaigns and donated what little I could all my life only to be betrayed every single time.  The candidates for US house and senate always run as conservatives in Kentucky regardless of their party affiliation.
I think Carol Hubbard was the first to betray us by voting gun control and by stealing from the house Post Office but he was not alone.  The others have promised to support Judo Christian values but just deliver lip service.
They promise to support the constitution and blatantly join the Democratx in ignoring most of it.
They promise to oppose abortion but only deliver lip service.
Both houses when controlled by the Republicans elect leaders who continually side with the devil in pushing liberal legislation.
The one thing that the president and the congress are SWORN to do is save and defend the constitution and protect the United States from all enemies but foreign and domestic.  What do they do.  They allow law breakers to stay in the US after entering illegally while East Europeans have been waiting for years to enter legally with the low quota for them.
I have watched both parties allow China to take over rare earth mining and production.  This is essential to the guidance of our missles.
Collectively they have made the McConnel NAFTA and other trade agreements that allow the other countries unlimited access to our markets while allowing them to set very low or no import numbers of our products.  At the same time both parties collaborated to pay grants to manufacturers who were willing to move their companies off shore.
The Republicans have a name for being tight with our money but join the Democratx in running up the Trillions debt.  They cannot even be honest in that one.
They will fund some weird little fish studies but allow our  military to nearly vanish.  We once had by far the most sophisticated and deadly fighters/bombers in the world.  We shared the technology and stopped developing new war planes to defend us.  We have been surpassed by China, Russia and even France. France?
Our debt is so high that soon our only course will be to nationalize but wait that is not possible for we are totally dependent on our enemies for everything.
I have always participated in politics, helping campaigns by putting up signs etc.  Have donated regularly to congressional candidates but no more.  I have been deceived too many times.
I have not missed a vote since I registered at 18.  I voted absentee by slow mail boat from Germany twice.  Two times I insisted I be released from the Clinton Hickman County hospital to vote.  I have voted absentee several times when going to be out of town.  No more.  From now on I think I will only vote in presidential elections for the candidate recommended by the NRA and GOA.  Most of the other groups are more interested in raising more money for larger salaries.  The lesser of two evils is still evil.

“The awesome generosity of God”

It seems to be impossible for me to give without receiving repayment.  One example I will never forget happened in the late eighties.  I was carving detailed birds and ducks and a friend of my daughters asked me if I would carve her a duck and her pay for it a little out of each payday until she got it paid for.  She wanted it for her boyfriend.  Naturally I said that she could take her pick and pay whenever it was convenient and to take it now to give him for Christmas.  I received a check by mail every week.
Several months later I was home and alone and got hungry.  I hit the fridge and the pantry and not a thing to snack.  I went to IGA and picked up a jar of peanut butter and a loaf of bread.  When I went to pay the cashier I only had fifteen dollars to my name.  I paid for them and left the store when gentleman approached and said he was traveling with his family and had had trouble and they were broke and hungry and could I spare fifteen dollars to buy food for his family.  Intuition compelled me to give him what was left of the fifteen I had and explained I had no more.  He was not a bum I am sure.  Later I hated it when I realized that the restaurant was open and I could have taken them there for a meal.  Also it never crossed my mind to go back in the store and get what they needed for I know they would have trusted me until the next day.
When I got home there was an envelope taped to the patio door.  When I opened it there was a check from the young lady who bought her sweetheart the duck.  There was a sweet note thanking me for trusting her and the last payment for thirty dollars.  It seems she had lost her job and just went back to work. I thought she had paid it off a long time past for I did not keep up with what she owed.  This was twice, not what I gave the man, but twice what he had asked for.  This type of thing has happened all my life and I have found that for whatever he ask he will return two times or more.  My G_d is awesome for sure.

“The dying Republican party”

“The dying Republican party”

I grew up a conservative Democrat even though historically my family was Republican.  Then the Republican Party was run by the Rockefeller s and their ilk.  They did away with the gold standard and gave us a so called Federal Reserve, made up of big banks, who the Congress gave the constitutional power of Congress alone to print money.  They in turn loan this money that was created out of thin air to the US Treasury at interest believe it or not.
These Rockefeller fiscal only conservatives gave us union labor for unions were necessary at the time.  The communist quickly infiltrated them, Hollywood and the universities, shortly after WW2 making their influence of the unions possible.
These Rockefeller Republicans cared not for any but their own but They only gave lip service to the other than fiscal conservatives.
Along came Ronald Reagan and against the wishes of the fiscal only conservatives ran and won by uniting under one tent, 1. Constitutionalist as it is written and intended.  2. The nations gun owners.  3.  Those who strongly believe that life begins at conception and to abort is murder.  4.  Those who believe the bill of rights protects the religious from the government and not the other way around.  5.  Those who believe the founders formed and we want a small federal government that realizes that the first obligation is to the protection of our nation and should protect our borders from invaders with military if it cannot be controlled.  6.  They believe we are and should remain a republic, governed and not ruled, by a representative government elected in as fair of an election as possible.  7.  Most important is a strong military ready to fight at least two battlefields at once, defending US with the latest defense technology and the strongest force in the world.
The so called Tea Party delivered votes to the party but has been co-opted by the republicans as only interested in fiscal matters when in fact the Tea Party was never of one voice.  They ran the gauntlet of conservatives which is why Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann both were able to reach so many of them.  Like Reagan they both espouse the total conservative package.
Many social, religious conservatives stayed home election day.  They chose not to vote for the lesser danger to their beliefs.
The leadership will move to the left trying to gain, black, Hispanic, moderate liberals and continue to lose.  That is unless they take a note from Ronald Reagan and once again become the party that believes in the whole constitution.

"I can too rant here"

I made myself a promise not to rant on my other blog other than the abortion piece about my grandson Nick and this one I can rant all I want.
I have heard people both conservative and liberal complain about all the jobs going overseas.  To a person the corporations are blamed.  There are many reasons but none are the fault of the corporations.  We can blame congress and the presidency for giving too much power of interpretation to bureaucrats who are tenured into power of law, much like they gave the Federal Reserve, think private large banks, the power to print money and then lend it to the US Treasury with interest.  They expect these bankers not to use the inside information for their gain.  Sure!
Years ago they got the idea to raise the minimum wage, which few other than students in summer, made.  This in turn forced employers to raise the trained, skilled employees more thereby forcing the business to have to raise prices to turn a profit.  This in turn cost the wage earners more to live thus perpetuating the problem.
About the same time very broad environment and safety laws were written giving more bureaucrats more power to create rules which have the force of law.
Admittedly in the beginning this was a good thing but the bureaucrats realized that they were working themselves out of a job so the rules got more and more restrictive on business and industry.
The rules got so restrictive that it is no longer profitable to mine, drill or manufacture in the US.  We saw what it did to housing.
Oil companies are watching Cuba sell drilling rights not far off our coast and EPA will not approve drilling for our companies.   The mines have disappeared but for a few coal mines.  Rare earth, in abundance here, is being bought by our government from China.  This is used in computer chips critical to the accurate delivery of our missiles.
About the time the EPA rules and safety rules started getting ridiculous along comes the liberals in congress offering tax breaks, grants and other incentives if they would relocate to a developing country.  I take it that this means anywhere but the USA, the EU, New Zealand and Australia.
After forcing these huge expenses on our companies the US government lets bids for items that our own companies cannot match for the government forced encumbrances.   Aircraft are a good example along with computers etc.
Our current president bragged that he would make coal mining so expensive that he would shut them down.
The unions stood by and let this happen for they seem to be more attuned to the Communist than to working folks.  That and their leadership are no more than professional organizers whose interest is not in the worker but their own salaries.
